In the spring of 2004, a review of the entire Club campus was undertaken and as part of the extensive long range strategic plan it was decided to include a variety of gardens to enhance the natural beauty of the property. The improvement of the club’s amenities, including the 18-hole golf course, tennis center, restaurants and the creation for our gardens remain as primary objectives of the development of this resort community.
The Club was fortunate to have Annoel Krider, artist and garden enthusiast as well as the wife of long time Golf Pro, J. Peter Martin, step forward and embrace the opportunity to be the lead in the development of the gardens at the Whiteface Club & Resort which was presented to her by Mark Sperling, CEO of the company who is a gardening enthusiast. Annoel provided her artistic eye as well as her gardening experience to create the beautiful gardens that are enjoyed throughout the property by homeowners, members and guests throughout the garden seasons.”
Upon Annoel’s retirement as leader of the gardening team she developed the Club was fortunate to have a member of the team, Lucas Haight take the reins of leadership and continue to the ongoing maintenance and development of future gardens assisted by the team of gardeners working with him.
Guests are encouraged to visit our gardens located at the waterfront, Tennis Center, main and secondary entrances, golf course and Club House. New gardens are being conceived and constructed yearly.
